Hey guys, after doing some thinking I've decided sometime over the summer when I get the funds I want to take my single exit exhaust I have now and make it a dual rear exit, via a y-pipe. I'd have to my exhaust shop make one but theyd charge me and arm and a leg to have it done. Im aware ebay has several but not in my size. (2 1/4") Therefore I know some of the handy guys on here may have the tools, supplies, and skills to make me one. I would pay for supplies and your labor, hopefully no more than $25-30 shipped. Just thought Id throw it out there and see if I could get a response...Thanks!

Get one in a 2.5 if they have them and then just use adapters that go from 2.25 to 2.5 on all three ends. The adapters are available at any auto parts store.

Good call.

Every muffler shop I have ever been to has had pre-made y-pipes, and they aren't expensive. I think I paid like $40 total to have mine installed in place of my muffler.

Alright sounds good, is this to avoid any potential differences in the sizing of the pipeing?

Using the adapters is to get a somewhat smooth transition between pipe sizes. If your shop can't get a Y pipe for whatever reason, get one off ebay in 2.5 and then pick up a few adapters. Maybe even consult the shop you are going to and see if they have adapters of their own to use.

The shop probably makes their own transitions using a hydraulic pipe expander integrated into their bending machine. This is what I have seen at my local shop.
